Welcome Markedshøyskolen 2013

Johan Arndt Conference 2013

Conference dates: May 30 – 31th, 2013

Venue: Markedshøyskolen/Oslo School of Management, Oslo

We are happy to invite you to the 7th Johan Arndt Conference, which will be held from May 30 -31th at Markedshøyskolen/Oslo School of Management. This conference, named after the late Norwegian marketing professor Johan Arndt, is Norway’s main forum for research and teaching in marketing. The conference brings together marketing academics and practitioners from throughout Norway to present, listen to, and discuss new research and teaching concepts in the realm of marketing.

Conference theme: Fifty Shades of Marketing

We invite papers within all shades of the marketing field. The conference covers all relevant topics in marketing. We would especially invite researchers to contribute papers bordering other academic disciplines – for example (but not limited to) economics, psychology, social anthropology and sociology. Our goal is to broaden the participants’ perspectives of marketing by illustrating the many shades of the discipline.

We will especially encourage doctoral students to contribute their working papers to the conference.

Researchers who would like to participate in the conference are invited to send their max 7-pages papers everything included (cover/title page, references and appendix, tables and figures) electronically to johanarndt2013@mh.no before April 1st, 2013.  All submissions will be evaluated based on academic relevance and quality. Notifications of acceptance will be given by the end of April.

Presentation of new marketing education ideas: Call for abstracts

The conference also offers the opportunity to share new, innovative ideas about marketing education. These ideas should ideally be aimed at facilitating the dissemination of marketing knowledge through for instance the use of computer applications in marketing courses, innovations in traditional teaching methods, and the use of new media in the classroom. Teaching ideas should be exemplified in a 3-pages paper (including summary and references), which should be sent to johanarndt2013@mh.no before April 1st, 2013. The ideas are evaluated by originality, innovativeness, and academic substance.

Best regards,
